The troupe under KBS will perform South Korean traditional dances for the art programme. After that cameramen will stay in Quang Ninh to shoot a film about Ha Long Bay, which will be broadcast on KBS channel. Nguyen Thi Kim Duc, Chairwoman of the North Investment, Construction and Trade Joint Stock Company (MIENBAC TCI), which is cooperating with the Quang Ninh People’s Committee to organise the art programme, said that on December 4-5, Australia’s SBS would send staffs to Vietnam to shoot a film on Ha Long. The images of Ha Long Bay will be televised on SBS three times a week (8 minutes each), including two times during peak viewing hours. Mrs Duc has also revealed that her company, in cooperation with Quang Ninh authorities, is working with a Microsoft representative on the placement of an advertisement video clip for one month on www.hotmail.com, MSN Messenger, electronics portals of Australia, Thailand, the US and South Korea, serving the voting for Ha Long Bay as a ‘modern wonder’ of the world. To date, 63 provinces nationwide and 16 ministries and branches have received the dispatch from Quang Ninh provincial authorities, calling for them to vote for Ha Long Bay as a modern wonder of the world.
The Ministry of Education and Training has sent a document to schools, universities and colleges, calling for pupils and students to vote for Ha Long Bay.
